Julie graduated with a degree in history from Strathclyde University in 2001 and started work as a researcher for Caledonia TV later that year on a 13 part series The Real Tartan Army. Since then she has worked on network series for Channel 4 (Teens on Trial) and Five (Over the Sea to School) as AP. She has produced a number of documentaries for BBC Scotland – Creating the Kelpies, The Man Who Built Britain and The Adventures of Don Roberto. Julie is now producing and directing many of our BBC Alba productions and this year directs her first network programme – Darts Dreams for BBC1’s Our Lives strand.
