FRANCES - A STRÌ RI MS (FRANCES - FIGHTING MS)

For over 20 years Frances O’Connell has suffered from multiple sclerosis – a condition that’s gradually eroded her quality of life. But in early 2016, a pioneering new treatment for MS hit the headlines – and for first time, Frances dared to dream that a cure might be within her reach.

This documentary follows Frances as she tackles the disease head-on, travelling to Mexico for the hugely dangerous but potentially life-changing hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT).

Filmed over a year-long period, the programme joins Frances through her emotional journey – from the early fundraising campaigns, the intensive treatment in Mexico and the long and difficult road to recovery.
